In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, CU鈥檚 Office of Government Relations has temporarily suspended its work supporting visits by CU听students, faculty and leadership at the U.S. Capitol, White House and with federal agency partners. Last week, the first case of COVID-19 on Capitol Hill was announced, and lawmakers are taking steps to limit public access to the Capitol grounds.

While these particular activities are suspended for the immediate future, CU's advocacy and engagement in Washington, D.C. on behalf of university funding and policy priorities continue in earnest. In particular, CU鈥檚 Federal Team is actively engaged in efforts to address the听impacts of COVID-19 on听the campus community with decision-makers in Washington, as well as communicate the vital role scientific research at American universities will play in addressing the coronavirus outbreak and in preventing future public health emergencies.

The Office听of Government Relations thanks everyone for their understanding and support.
