Jessica is currently a software engineer at developing automotive software, following a position as a Systems Engineer at . She worked on the Collaborative Research: Gender Diversity, Identity, and EWB-USA project alongside Kaitlin Litchfield. The research sought to understand why the engineering service organization, EWB-USA, attracts a gender-balanced ratio of engineers in contrast to the ~20% and 11% of women engineers seen in University and Industry settings, respectively. By identifying the motivations, identities, and gains that both student and professional members are receiving from the organization, the research explored how to attract and retain a diverse workforce.
